Neighborhood Outreach Ministries

Greater Christ Temple Church is home to a southeast neighborhood tutoring program for children called, “The WHIZ-KIDS Program.” It is co-coordinated by District Elder Darryl Braxton, Sr. The local school principal recommends and refers students that are slow-readers and need help. Many Hispanic families that reside in our area are not bilingual; hence an inability to be of assistance to their children in school work. Each child has their own tutor that takes responsibility for assistance in learning, transportation and encouragement to excel. The program is for 2 hours which includes a 20 minute Bible lesson to give the children a chance to learn about God and His Word.

The Fellowship Hall is used to entertain and encourage the families and the needy neighborhood people with a Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas and Easter food baskets and other means of help for the area. This ministry has proven to be an encouragement to all who participate.

The Greater Christ Temple Tape Ministry is dedicated to the edification of the saints.
